"We only have one body"
Ingling did not originate from a sudden business idea, but rather from a personal need for change. That need evolved into a clear vision: to combine Icelandic raw materials, modern science, and ancient knowledge into high-quality dietary supplements.
Behind Ingling are Daníel Ingi Bergmann Garðarsson, who has a background in biotechnology, and lawyer Andri Rúnar Gunnarsson. Their diverse backgrounds create a strong whole where science, product development, and business management meet.
From a personal need to a larger vision
The origin of Ingling can be traced back to Daníel Ingi’s personal journey and his desire to achieve more. Soon, the idea grew larger: to develop products that could help people build vitality and well-being in the long term.
The name Ingling refers to both roots and growth. It reflects the connection to Icelandic nature, ancient Norse traditions, and the belief that real success is based on consistency rather than quick fixes.
Nature and science working together
At Ingling, nature is not presented as a magic solution. The goal is to combine natural ingredients and modern knowledge with clear and professional methods.
In developing the products, emphasis is placed on defined active ingredients, standardized production, traceability, and consistent quality. Production takes place according to Icelandic and European requirements with purity and quality as the guiding principles.
Ingling does not view Western science and Eastern traditions as opposites. The Western approach emphasizes measurability and precision, while Eastern philosophies look more at context and balance. By utilizing the strengths of both approaches, Ingling strives to develop purposeful and high-quality products.
Consistency matters more than perfection
It can be tempting to try to change everything at once when setting new health goals. In the opinion of Daníel and Andri, it is more effective to start slowly, choose realistic goals, and then build a routine around them.
"Health is built through repetition, not exertion."
The first goal does not need to be big. It could be one push-up a day, a short walk, a better sleep routine, or a more conscious decision at the dinner table. Small steps eventually turn into habits, and habits create lasting change.
Dietary supplements as part of a larger whole
Dietary supplements should not replace a varied diet, exercise, rest, or a healthy lifestyle. However, they can become part of a daily routine and support everyone's individual goals.
Ingling's products are developed with different needs and routines in mind. Examples include Kraft, Gyðja, and Djúpur svefn. Their common goal is to fit simply into the daily lives of people who want to intentionally nurture their own well-being.
Quality over quick fixes
Ingling is in continuous development. New products are tested, existing product lines are refined, and partnerships with selected retailers are strengthened.
Growth, however, must never come at the expense of quality or the values the brand stands for. The vision for the future is to build an Icelandic dietary supplement company that people can trust – here at home and later in foreign markets.
We only have one body, and it needs to last us a lifetime. That is why it matters to think long-term, take responsibility for your own well-being, and trust the process.
Start simple. Be consistent. Take good care of your body.
